I saw your tweet and visited his site. I haven't read the Celestine Prophecy yet, but its on my bookshelf giving me a hard time for not opening it up yet.

It's okay Past Carrie.  A year from now you will be typing from your Mom's guest bed in Arizona (yeah girl, she moved...time to find a new couch to crash on) and you've done so very, very well.  I'm proud of you Past Carrie.  Proud of the missteps, proud of the grand strides, proud of the lives you have touched.  You may not reach to the far, dark, deep corners, but when you walk strong and sure, you get exactly where you need to be.  Remember Cuchara. Remember what you signed up for the day you sat by the creek in Evergreen; the day you made the biggest choice of your life.  The day you looked at yourself and decided to be a Mother.  This whole crazy business here, when you are wondering what you are doing here, has a purpose.   You will be tempted to chalk it up to boredom and silly games, but it has the potential to open doors.  You will learn that everything has the potential to open doors.  I love you Past Carrie.  You are a good Mama and the Universe is pulling for you.

When grandpa starts talking to you about WWII, sit down and really listen. He won't get to do it again.

 

CTVA is going to be way harder to get into when you apply. Your portfolio idea is going to be about the moral choices of a guy eating a lobster. Start working on it now or find a better idea.

 

If you can't come to introduce yourself to the people sitting next to you in Film as Literature, you should probably drop the class. The teacher is way too hard and you're just barely going to pass, so you should have something to show for it.

 

Study harder for Mass Comm. The quizes are cake, the Final is a killer.

 

You may not like going to class at 8am, but trust me when I say the idea that your group comes up with for the final project is going to be one of the best short film ideas you will ever hear.

 

The new house is awesome. The move happens for not so awesome reasons, but the family is better off because of it.

 

Your tripod is under your bed in the box.

 

Clean your paint ball equipment. You haven't for about two years now and you didn't after you last played.

 

Remember, use the red arrow to take a reading on the light meter when you use the hi slide or you'll overexpose.

 

Smile. Life is too good not to.
